Surecal 20 litre Calorifier
The Surecal calorifiers use your engine's cooling system to provide hot water in your camper van conversion. These come complete with a preinstalled 230V 1KW immersion heater, but a smaller 12V/230V immersion heater can be specified instead.
For the US market, there is also the option of 110v or 12v/110v heaters. Please call to discuss options.
The unit is quick and easy to install with full fitting instructions provided. The boiler is insulated in a polyurethane jacket which will retain the heat for up to 24 hours after the engine has been switched off. The boiler is made of 100% copper, this gives both performance and health benefits.
SureCal boilers are made of the finest quality materials, which guaranteeing the ultimate performance and reliability. In addition the drop coil technology and finned surface heat exchanger used in the boiler provides unrivaled heat recovery.
SureCal calorifiers come completely assembled ready for quick and easy installation. The immersion, pressure release valve, barbed engine coil connections and stainless steel fixing brackets all come as standard. A thermostatic mixer valve is fitted as standard for the safety of those onboard and increases the volume of hot water available.The stored water within the boiler reaches the same temperature as the engine (generally 85°C). If the mixer valve is set at 65°C you will generally increase your available hot water supply by 25%.
Every calorifer is also individiually bench tested ensuring quality and reliability every time. In house development and a commitment to customer service, quality and reliability allow us to provide boat builders with the exact shape and size of boiler to suit their space and application.
This Surecal unit comes complete with:
- Thermostatic mixer valve
- 4 bar pressure release valve

- 15mm barbed connections for coil, ready for 15mm push fit plastic plumbing
- Supplied with stainless steel saddles
Each calorifier should be used in conjunction with an expansion tank, which should measure a minimum 10% of the calorifier capacity. I.e. the 2 litre expansion tank would work with the 10-22litre calorifier, the 5 litre expansion tank with the 22- 55 litre calorifiers and the 8 litre with the 55-75 litre calorifiers.
